An open-air patio and gathering space at the Webster Avenue end of The Corner.
The Courtyard

At the Webster Avenue end of The Corner, between our building and the Torrent House, you’ll find The Alley — our open-air patio space. This side of the building faces the Hackley Library and Muskegon Museum of Art and sits just kiddy-corner from Hackley Park, keeping it connected to downtown while slightly off the main strip.

The patio spans the full width of the building and is clearly defined from the adjacent drive lane by installed barriers. The alley continues to function as a slow access lane to nearby parking, but the gathering space itself is open, spacious, and intentionally set apart. Removable sections allow food trucks to pull in and park alongside the patio while maintaining a comfortable layout.

During the warmer months, The Alley serves as PLAY Muskegon’s outdoor play and gathering space, with tables and seating in place throughout the season. In the evenings and on weekends, it becomes patio seating for rotating food trucks and a casual place to meet, eat, and spend time outdoors.

The Alley is also available for select private events.
